Pair of orange rex rabbits need a loving new home! in Street, Somerset for sale

Pair of orange rex rabbits need a loving new home!

Help needed! Sadly, i'm having to rehome my 2 orange rex bunnies and would love if they could go to a friendly and loving new home before i move house on the 29th March. They're one boy and one girl, Bruno and Butters who will be 3 years old in April and have both been neutered and are up to date with vaccinations (will need doing every January). They need a decent sized garden as they have a 4ft by 4ft hutch and an 8ft by 4ft run attached which is essential to their health so is a must for anyone willing to take them on. They're very friendly but just need a home where they can be shown a bit more affection, families with young children might be suitable? They've been really well looked after and i'll only consider rehoming them to somewhere they'll get the same level of care. They're really friendly bunnies and they have great personalities. They have lived with friendly cats before and have been fine, but cannot go to a home with dogs. Care: They need flea and tick treatment once a month (1 tube each at £3.50 per tube) They need their nails trimming once a month or so (i have the clippers and a book that explains how to do it properly... failing that you can take them to the vets and they'll do it for you). They need brushing every so often, especially when they're malting, they'll sit on your lap quite happily and let you do it. They need lots of fresh hay to eat and use as bedding (£4 per bale that i currently get from a farm) and saw dust for their litter tray. They're semi litter trained... which makes it really easy to clean the hutch out, which needs doing at least twice a week, so you'd need to have the time to do this. They have a litter tray and as long as you fill it with sawdust then they should use the box for their business... they are only bunnies though so sometimes they do slip up. Their hutch is currently a children's wendy house which i'd be more than happy to sell to you for about £50. (most hutches big enough for 2 rabbits cost around £90) but that of course is up to you, if you would like to get a new hutch though, it'll need to have an area thats completely sheltered from wind, rain and predators (sometimes they get scared by large birds). The run is essential and you would need to have space in your garden for this. I currently have them on a patio which they prefer to the grass but they will go on grass if thats all you have, you will need to buy an "Anti-Dig kit" though to prevent them from digging under the run (which they have done before so would strongly recommend the anti dig kit!!!) They eat mostly hay and fresh green veg (spring greens, curly kale, cabbage, carrot tops etc. and as a treat they also like corn on the cob and carrots but the vet says not too much of that as it's too sugary and can ruin their teeth.) They also need Excel rabbit pellets which i buy a 4kg bag for about £5 which lasts a couple of months as they only have an egg cup each per day (vet's orders to stop them getting fat!) I also have a couple of RSPCA books on how to care for your rabbit which i'd be more than happy to pass on. I really am sad to have to give them up, so it's really important that i know they're going somewhere that they'll be properly loved and looked after. Please feel free to contact me with questions. Only suitable homes will be considered.
